Draco Constellation

Got to see the early morning sky yesterday at 5 am and what a set of new constellations to learn! Sky can keep fascinating anyone. Draco constellation lies in the northern sky. It is one of the largest constellations in the sky.
The constellation’s name means “the dragon” in Latin. Draco is the eighth largest constellation in the night sky, occupying an area of 1083 square degrees. It lies in the third quadrant of the northern hemisphere, you can only see the head and the theta draconis star and the rest of the body and tail of the dragon is invisible.

I captured this at 5 am yesterday. The neighboring constellations are Cepheus, Cygnus, Hercules, Lyra, Ursa Major, and Ursa Minor.

Draco belongs to the Ursa Major family of constellations, along with Coma Berenices, Canes Venatici, Corona Borealis, Leo Minor, Lynx, Ursa Major and Ursa Minor.

Sun was still not out and at 5.15 am look at the beautiful east sky!
