Constellation caught by chance
Night shots worked out well yesterday and captured two small constellations - Coma Berenices and Canes Venatici.
Coma Berenices Constellation:
Coma Berenices, or Berenice’s Hair, is a constellation in the northern sky. It was named after the Queen Berenice II of Egypt.
It was not until the 16th century that Berenice’s Hair was promoted to a constellation in its own right. Coma Berenices is the 42nd constellation in size.
Canes Venatici Constellation:
Canes Venatici is bordered by Ursa Major to the north and west, Coma Berenices to the south, and Boötes to the east. It is a small northern constellation that was created in the17th century. Its name is Latin for "hunting dogs", and the constellation is often depicted in illustrations as representing the dogs of Boötes the Herdsman, a neighboring constellation.
I captured these stars at Zenith. Zenith - a point on the celestial sphere directly above anobserver on the Earth. The point 180° opposite the zenith, directly underfoot, is the nadir.
The green line you see on left top corner is from the wire used for cloth drying in the terrace Kindly ignore , My daughter was initially excited to have captured some moving green object that was supposedly invisible to the naked eye. Over enthusiasm does all these things to everyone I must say , for a second I believed it too
